Employed persons are either employees (persons who work by agreement, work for a resident institutional unit and receive a remuneration recorded as compensation of employees) or self-employed (persons who are the sole owners, or joint owners, of the unincorporated enterprises in which they work, excluding those unincorporated enterprises that are classified as quasi-corporations).The domestic concept of employment includes both the residents and the non-residents who work for resident producer units.
