D13 MONETARY STATISTICS (IMF FRAMEWORK) – CONSOLIDATED SURVEY

The framework for the compilation of the monetary statistics survey is in accordance with the methodology recommended by the International Monetary Fund in the Monetary and Financial Statistics Manual (2000).

The consolidated monetary statistics survey includes data for two subsectors, namely the central bank (see Statistical Table D11) and authorised deposit-taking institutions (see Statistical Table D12).

Data in the consolidated survey will differ from the financial aggregates data provided in Statistical Tables D02 and D03 due to the scope of the survey and coverage.

The data are revised retrospectively where required, generally based on revisions by reporting entities and changes in statistical methodology. Data are not adjusted for series breaks. From July 2019, the financial aggregates are compiled using an improved conceptual framework and a new data collection. Various movements from the June 2019 to July 2019 reporting periods are sizable, in part because the new data collection more consistently classifies loans according to their purpose.
